Most people are familiar with the Sender-Receiver model of communication, but in applying it, the challenge is in the fact that there are no clear boundaries for each. People have different ideas about where the responsiblity of the Sender ends and where the responsibility of the Receiver begins and how or if they should overlap. Different expectations can lead to dropped balls, frustration, incorrect assumptions about motives and conflict.
